One of my very first posts was about the video for one of Mary-Kate and Ashley's fashion lines, The Row. But, I wanted to take a second to revisit this video because as I started to flip through Influence, I discovered that this video is actually shot in Mary-Kate (and Ashley's?) house in Los Angeles. The first room you see is done in Mary-Kate's bedroom. I thought that was pretty interesting to find out since I fell in love with this space the very first time I saw the video.
Also, sorry for the absence. I have been catching up on sleep that I lost during the semester as well as planning a last minute road trip to New York (more details on this later).
I was shopping at our Neiman's outlet on friday and saw their Elizabeth and James line. Sadly, I thought it was pretty poorly made. I guess everyone agreed with me as their rack was ultra full.
What an extremely beautiful and effective advertising vehicle - the model makes being glam look so easy. Loooooove the house, the pool, the fut throw on the bed, everything! Architecture has become increasingly important in fashion, it seems: http://couturecarrie.blogspot.com/2008/12/architecture-is-in-fashion.html
Thanks for putting me on your Rockin' Blogroll - I have added you to my Fellow Fashionistas too!
Laura - That's a major shame to hear the E&J is made poorly. What a let down! Unfortunately, if I had the money, I think I would still make a few purchases haha
Carrie - I checked out your post again! It was actually one that I commented on a while back but it is still one of my favorites. I also have a post coming up having to do with something along these lines.
Meow - Thanks so much! You're the best!
Vanessa - Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. I really think I would watch this video 20 times in a row (and I might have...)
Geri - I was quite surprised to find out that little fact myself. But, it made the video all the much cooler lol
Avant Garde - I am with you 100%! I bought the láme American Apparel version a while back to try and duplicate the look. But, they just don't bunch and fall the same way.
